"As far as I can remember, this song was built over a
number of loops-this was a regular M.O. for Ministry-I
cannot remember the movies the loops were from, but that
one was a Didjeradoo (I KNOW I am spelling that wrong!!)
the wa wawa wa soundyou hear, then Bill and Paul built the
Bass and drums, going for a very "Can" sound (If you are
not familiar with CAN, please ask me for a quick lesson!)
Al wanted me to sing like John Lydon-really snotty and
whiney! I think it came off as being kind of desperate
sounding-the lyrics are about the terrible mistreatment
of many patients in mental hospitals, but not just that,
but for political prisoners, and those imprisoned for
having a voice and using it.
I have not listened to that one in years, it was nice to
think about it!"

LYRICS (official)
Dehumanize
Lobotomize
Thrown into a cell
Swallow your pride
In an infant mind
Thrown into a cell
A punishment fit
For a crippled mind
Don't do that to me
Criminals, sodomites, all laughing at me
Life is hell
Forever fighting
A deficient mind
We're all left alone and poisoned
A sickening trap
A sight worth seeing
Don't do that to me
Don't do that to me
Force breaks our back
Time preserves, fearfully
You know what I said
Hideous and strange
Thrown into a cell
A punishment fit
For a crippled mind
