Install Linux as you normally would. The hard drive shipped with the laptops come partitioned into two partitions: one with Windows XP loaded, and the second was empty.
Delete the second partition using any regular partitioning tool that you can during your Linux installation, and re-create the partition.
After you have installed Linux, you may notice that some hardware interfaces do not get detected, or if they do, they do not work as they should. The following sections will help you correct these.
