X Marks The Pedwalk-Meshwork CD-XMTP moves closer to the wave/techno scene with this album. Good production, but the songs really fall short. (Zoth Ommog)
Bob Xark-"Gargoyle Wings" CD-Famed underground punk zinester/musician Bob Z has returned, with a new array of electronic loops and samples to compliment his offbeat and outspoken political satire and commentary. And this is really not a bad effort. Production is fine, and the whole thing feels much more like a technologically-enhanced Bob Dylan or something...y'know, protest music for regular people who have to survive in a corporate world. I recognized a few sounds and samples, but this is really a step up for Xark..and he's not pandering to the KMFDM dance/techno/rock crowd. It's still just Bob, his guitar, and his thoughts (plus a few drum loops here and there). (Bomb Sniffing Dog Records)
Xorcist-Scorched Blood CD-An album-length remix EP from Peter Stones dark dance/electro project. A variety of synthetic grooves, from tense soundtrack strings to powerful & aggressive rhythmics. Overall pretty strong work and a good use of dynamic sampling. (21st Circuitry)
